Oil and Gas Dry Ice Blasting
NYCryoTech cleans compressors, turbines, valves, and heat exchangers on-site, often without disassembly, and with no chemical disposal or wastewater to deal with afterward.
One Process, for Every Part of Your Oil and Gas Equipment
What We Clean:
- Compressors and Turbines: Grease, carbon deposits, and hydrocarbon buildup removed from the unit, often without taking it apart.
- Valves and Actuators: Intricate components cleaned with no moisture introduced, so there is no corrosion risk from the cleaning itself.
- Heat Exchangers: Fouling and scale that cut efficiency are cleared from the surfaces.
- Piping and Manifolds: Rust, scale, and surface contamination stripped without abrasion damage to the metal.
- Pumps and Motors: Safe for electrical and mechanical components, with no conductive residue left behind.
- Storage Tanks and Vessels: Interior and exterior surfaces cleaned with no chemical exposure.
- Skids, Platforms, and Structural Steel: Remove oil film, grime, and corrosion before inspection or recoating.

Certified and Insured Dry Ice Blasting Professionals
A cleaning process built for operations where downtime and waste both cost money
Chemical-Free, from Start to Finish
Dry ice sublimates on contact, so there are no solvents to buy, store, handle, or dispose of.
No Water, No Runoff
No wastewater carrying hydrocarbons into soil or drains, and no moisture left inside sensitive components.
Cleaned in One Place
Most equipment can be cleaned on-site without disassembly, so it goes back to work sooner.
No Chemical Disposal. No Wastewater. No Manifests.
Solvents and water leave you with waste to manage. Dry ice leaves only the contaminant it removed.
What You Don’t Have to Handle
- No chemical disposal: Dry ice sublimates on contact, so there are no solvents to buy, store, or have hauled away.
- No wastewater or runoff: Pressure washing mixes hydrocarbons with water that has to be captured and disposed of. Dry ice uses no water.
- Nothing left but the contaminant: The pellets turn directly from solid to gas. What remains is the removed buildup, dry and easy to sweep or vacuum.
- Non-flammable and non-conductive: Safe for electrical components and for environments where flammable solvents are a hazard.
- No chemical exposure for your team: No solvent fumes, and no residue left on the equipment.

FAQ
Can you clean oil and gas equipment without disassembling it?
In many cases, yes. Equipment can often be cleaned in place, which cuts downtime. We’ll confirm after assessing the equipment and the contamination.
Do I still have to dispose of anything?
The contaminant removed from the equipment still has to be handled under your site’s regulations. The difference is that it is not mixed with solvents or water, so there is far less of it to manage.
Will it damage valves, seals, or metal surfaces?
No. The process is non-abrasive so that it won’t wear down surfaces or machined components.
Is it safe around flammable environments?
Dry ice is non-flammable and non-conductive. We follow your site’s safety protocols, including hot-work permits and ventilation requirements, on every job.
